Historic Lansing Iowa

Eagle Ridge Country & Riverview Estates is located a short 2 minute drive from Lansing Iowa in Allamakee County. Lansing is a popular summer area due to its location on the Mississippi River in northeast Iowa along the Great River Road (Scenic Highway along the Mississippi River from Minnesota to Louisiana).

The Blackhawk Bridge which connects Northeastern Iowa to Western Wisconsin over the Mississippi River is another popular landmark in Lansing.

The Lansing Iowa area is known for its great fishing and boating activities during the spring and summer months. In the winter, eagle and bird watching is a favorite. The Mississippi River Valley, also known as the Driftless Region, makes a great aviary for a variety of birds’ seasonal migrations.

Due to the many different activities to do in the Lansing Iowa area many shops, including; restaurants, antiques, and lodging among others have kept Lansing bustling with commerce. There is something for everyone in this friendly tourist town.


Eagle Ridge Country & Riverview Estates has beautiful views of the Mississippi River but another place to take in excellent bluff views of the Mississippi is from Mt. Hosmer Park.

Mt. Hosmer Park is a great place for a picnic as you take in the views of the area. Watch barges and boats as they travel up and down the Mississippi River channel.
